Storymakery Celebrates Grand Opening at Irvine Spectrum Center
IRVINE, CALIF. – Storymakery®, the first self-publishing experience designed especially for children, will celebrate its public grand opening event at the Irvine Spectrum Center on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The unique Storymakery experience is captured in its tagline, “Where Imagination Inspires Character.” Designed to encourage a child’s creativity, cognitive and artistic expression, Storymakery helps record and preserve a child’s imagination with a tangible keepsake families will treasure for a lifetime.
In addition to providing the first self-publishing experience for children, Storymakery allows characters to live beyond the book. Children can create a series of adventures around their character, order character merchandise, and give their books as gifts to friends and families along with personalized dedication messages in each copy.
The grand opening event will take place in-store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with complimentary cupcakes, coffee, face-painting and balloons. Door prizes are available for the first 10 customers, with the first 25 customers receiving goody bags and 25 percent off their purchases.
To kick off the holiday season, Storymakery has developed a number of story topics about Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah. There are also special seasonal characters such as Santa Claus, Snowman, Mrs. Claus and more.
Storymakery offers a number of unique gift options for the holidays, including personalized books, gift cards and annual memberships to share the story-making experience. Special Young Writer Gift Packages beginning at $25 will also be available during the Irvine Spectrum Center’s Black Friday celebration on Nov. 27.
Each Storymakery in-store experience can be customized based on the child’s interests, reading and writing skill levels, and time availability. Generally ranging from a 20-minute to one-hour visit, children
are able to use Storymakery’s kid-friendly technology to do one or more of the following activities:
Design a storybook character
Work one-on-one with a staff “Muse” to create a story at the Writing Studio
If short on time, design their very own poster
Publish the story as a book to take home
Save their content and continue writing more stories at home
