Iconic Modernist Building in the Heart of La Jolla Restored, Renovated into 16 Exclusive Seaside Res

LA JOLLA, CALIF. – Restoration and renovation work is nearing completion on Muse La Jolla, a new luxury residential community located at 1020 Prospect Street in the heart of La Jolla, Calif.

The sales center and model home are now open for this unique waterfront property, which combines a prestigious architectural pedigree, exceptional modernist design and one of the most iconic street addresses on the West Coast (at the corner of Prospect and Girard). Most of the 16 residences, which range in size from 996 to 3,255 square feet, will be ready to close within 60 days. Two units have already been sold.

The four-story, concrete building includes one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. The four penthouse units include private rooftop terraces with direct access. The first-floor units include private ocean-view patios with just over 1,000 square feet of additional living space. Released home prices range from $2.7 million to $10.12 million.

The restoration and renovation of the property preserves the integrity of the architects’ original modernist vision, while elevating the property to meet the expectations of modern luxury home-buyers and collectors from around the globe.

Muse La Jolla includes exclusive 24-hour concierge and valet service for the convenience of its residents, as well as spacious three-car garages within a controlled-access parking structure.

The homes feature soaring 10- to 12-foot ceilings, wide-open and airy floor plans with large gallery walls, and expansive stacking slider window walls for up to 80 feet of panoramic view corridors of the ocean, Mount Soledad and the charming Village of La Jolla.

Impeccable attention to detail has been given to curating elegant, top-of-the-line designer finishes throughout each home, including full-height kitchen walls of Bookmatched Taj Mahal granite, Pininfarina white acrylic designer kitchen cabinetry, Alpine white quartz slab countertops and islands, Miele appliances and built-in coffee systems, temperature-controlled walk-in wine rooms and bars, two-person master bath steam showers with Copenhagen granite architectural details and designer fixtures by Gessi.

The developer for Muse La Jolla is a joint venture whose managing member is an affiliate of San Diego-based real estate developer Hammer Ventures. The building was originally designed by famed modernist architects Ladd & Kelsey in the 1960s.

One model home is currently open, with additional units to be unveiled in the coming weeks as construction and interior staging is completed. Viewings are by appointment only and may be scheduled by contacting sales@muselajolla.com or (855) 703-MUSE (6873).
