El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association to Host Second “Blvd. 20/20” Town Hall on Dec. 4

SAN DIEGO – The El Cajon Boulevard Business Improvement Association (BIA) announced today that it will host its second “Blvd. 20/20 Town Hall” on Tuesday, Dec. 4. The community is invited to provide input and feedback as the organization works to develop its new vision for the historic mid-city corridor. The “Blvd. 20/20 Plan” envisions El Cajon Boulevard as a model for successful transit-oriented communities in San Diego. The BIA is engaging with the community through a series of public workshops on topics such as neighborhood amenities, affordability, accessibility, cultural enhancement and urban living. Del Mar Students Earn Fifth World Record with 15-mile Santa Barbara Oil Rig Swim, Preparing Now for

DEL MAR, CALIF. – The “Zombie Patrol” swim team from Sea Change Preparatory, a private micro-school in Del Mar, recently earned its fifth world record in open-ocean swimming. The 15-mile relay swim to the Santa Barbara oil rig was completed in 14 hours by a team comprised of eight students and school staff, each swimming in 30-minute intervals. The youngest swimmer was 14 years old. This latest world record follows closely on the heels of another one the team set in June, which involved a first-ever swim between the islands of Ischia and Di Santo Stefano, off the coast of Naples, Italy.
