San Diego Green Building Council to Host GreenMeet: State of Green Building on Feb. 20


SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Green Building Council (SDGBC), an environmental nonprofit dedicated to providing education, outreach and advocacy focused on green building in the San Diego region, will host its annual GreenMeet: State of Green Building event on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

The annual event, which will be led by SDGBC Executive Director Josh Dean, will include:

  • 2018 Year in Review – A recap of the SDGBC’s latest accomplishments, including a new strategic plan and expanded community collaborations.

  • National Partner Updates – Including the U.S. Green Building Council, International Living Future Institute and many others.

  • Policy & Regulation Updates – Key state and local legislative changes impacting the green building industry in the year ahead.

  • 2019 Programs & Events – Overview of SDGBC programming for the coming year, designed to educate, inspire and drive collaboration within the San Diego region.

  • Launch of New Branding/Website – Following an extensive re-branding effort, SDGBC will unveil its new logo and website, which is designed to better showcase the work and expertise of San Diego’s green building community, as well as provide enhanced functionality and connectivity opportunities.

The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the offices of BNIM at 797 J Street in downtown San Diego. Admission is $30 for SDGBC members and $40 for non-members with advanced online registration. Walk-ins are $45. More information is available at https://www.usgbc-sd.org/.

It is the San Diego Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, whose mission is to inspire, educate and collaborate within communities to transform the built environment toward true sustainability.
