Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund Announces COVID-19 Emergency Funding for Underserved Children
SAN DIEGO – Rest Haven Children’s Health Fund, a foundation supporting health-related needs and services for underserved children in San Diego and Imperial Counties since 1909, has provided emergency funding relief to eight local nonprofit agencies to assist them during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rest Haven Board of Directors decided it was important to provide immediate assistance to community agencies who are working hard to alleviate the burden that children and families are facing during this very difficult time and invited agencies to submit a request for emergency funding.
The following agencies received immediate assistance:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Vista
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Marcos
Home Start
La Maestra Family Health Clinics
Imperial Valley Food Bank
San Ysidro Health
Walden Family Services
South Bay Community Services
Rest Haven’s mission is to provide funds for health-related services for children in San Diego and Imperial Counties when no other private or public funds are available. In addition to agency grants, Rest Haven also provides funding assistance for individual children who reside in either county and who are referred by a service provider through an online individual referral process.
